On March 18th the long awaited release party of Sowulo their latest release ‘Wurdiz’ finally took place in Luxor Live Arnhem.
Sowulo already released the album late 2022, so they kept waiting for quite a bit before we could enjoy this release show, but it was worth the wait. The band brought Maya Fridman along as a support act. Even though her performance was alright, it didn’t quite match the evening to my opinion.

Sowulo their show obvious was what all people came for and the venue was pretty filled up with people dancing and bouncing along on the music. They obviously played many songs from ‘Wurdiz’, but also some of the older ‘classics’. In between songs Faber, founder and leader of the band, spoke to the crowd about finding and embracing your destiny, finding peace in darkness and other encouraging words.
