On April 4th 2026, Infected Rain and Butcher Babies joined forces at Doornroosje for their co-headline “Mutation Phase Tour 2026’, accompanied by special guests Black Spikes. The tour highlights Infected Rain’s latest material, including the single ‘Stranger’, showcasing a fusion of modern metal and nu-metal delivered with high intensity.

From the moment doors opened, there was a strong sense of anticipation in the venue, even though it wasn’t completely sold out.
Black Spikes kicked off the evening and immediately made an impression. Their performance combined music and visuals in a striking way, with bold stage outfits and dancers playing a central role. Musically, they blended heavy riffs and pounding rhythms with darker, atmospheric layers and electronic elements, making their sound hard to categorize but undeniably intriguing—definitely a band worth keeping an eye on.

Next up, Butcher Babies raised the energy even further. Frontwoman Heidi Shepherd commanded the stage with relentless movement—running, headbanging, and jumping throughout the set. The band delivered a powerful mix of hard rock, metalcore, and groove metal. A standout moment came midway through when Heidi split the crowd down the middle and jumped into the audience, sparking a massive circle pit. Their set covered a wide range of their catalog and left the crowd wanting more.

Finally, Infected Rain took the stage, drawing an even larger crowd toward the front. The addition of video screens and visual effects enhanced the overall atmosphere. They opened with an intense rendition of ‘Mutation Phase’, immediately igniting the audience into headbanging and raised fists. Much of the set featured songs from their album Time, along with several newer tracks, including ‘Stranger’. Midway through the show, Heidi Shepherd returned for a collaboration, with both vocalists trading lines in a powerful exchange. Frontwoman Lena Scissorhands was highly energetic, constantly moving across the stage and engaging with the audience. The set passed quickly and reached its conclusion with ‘Judgemental Trap’.

After the show, the merch area was lively, with band members personally interacting with fans while selling their merchandise. In conclusion each band brought its own identity to the stage, yet together they created a cohesive and high-energy lineup from start to finish. Hopefully, all three acts will return again soon.
