In the small town of Lichtenfels, situated in North Bayern (Germany), the Apocalypse as we know it will take place. This April actually. Like every year, again and again, as it has been doing for the last 15 years. You know of what I speak, right? No, you do not? Then it’s about time for you to visit Ragnarök Festival!

If not for the atmosphere (which is awesome) then for the fact you can have your first open air camping experience in early April, offering the chance to have your balls and/or tits (whatever applies) brutally frozen off. Don’t like cold? No worries, they also have a sleeping hall, stopping much of the aforementioned freeze-‘n’-fun. The bands all play indoors, in a large auditorium hosting two stages.

Enslaved, Rotting Christ, Batushka, Dark Tranquillity and Der Weg Einer Freiheit to just name a few of the grand ones. But also Fejd with their enchanting folk, Saor with their Scottish Highland magic and Enisum carrying us off to some of the darker regions of the Italian Alps…

If you want to party, it’s also guaranteed to be a success. Besides Germany’s number one folk party band Equilibrium (celebrating 10 years since their epic release Sagas), the general atmosphere of the festival is will offer a cosy, social and friendly (after)party (terror). So come join us, on the 6th and 7th of April 2018 for a dance, a drink and watching bands at the season opener of 2018!
