When a band has an exclusive show in The Netherlands, often you would expect this to happen in a city like Amsterdam. Lacuna Coil chose the Eastern parts of The Netherlands instead and had their only Dutch show in Hengelo. As support they brought Aeverium and Cellar Darling.. Read the report here!
Concerts 2017
report: Sólstafir, Myrkur and Árstíðir

2017 has almost ended. But not without seeing one of the best performances of the year in perhaps one of the weirdest places. On December the 15th, we drove off to visit the Maassilo in Rotterdam (Netherlands) for a package that ought to provoke interest for many: Sólstafir, Myrkur and perhaps less well known, Árstíðir. […]
Report : Enslaved & Hidden Trails

After traveling across across Europe (well, Norway and Sweden anyway) to see Enslaved , the 13th of November reversed the roles: they were kind enough to play in De Helling (Utrecht). And to hell with weekends ending, as Monday is the new Sunday! (and as earlier noted by your ever observant reporters: Sunday is the […]
Report: Epica, MaYan & My Propane

Tonight marked an evening with a first love. No, not a reunion with a handsome, long-haired metal man, but a visit to a show of one of the bands in my ‘metal start-up package’. Stepping into metal, Dutch symphonic metallers Epica have functioned as a guide of sorts. Now – an X amount of years […]
Report: Archgoat, Bölzer, Svartidauði & Eggs of Gomorrh

Sunday is the new Saturday, a friend told me a short while ago. He seems to be right, as we end up at a concert every Sunday afternoon. Today the gates of our local venue Willemeen in Arnhem opened for the devastating package of Archgoat, Bölzer, Svartidauði and Eggs of Gomorrh.. Read it all here!

It’s been over 2,5 years since Satyricon last toured Europe, but now they are back to promote their latest release Deep Calleth Upon Deep, that came out just two days before the start of the tour. We visited the second show of the tour, which took place in Turock, Essen. Read all about that here
Report: Dark Matter presents: Belphegor and supports

What better way than to end a week filled with concerts, with one last gig? This Sunday evening we headed over to the town of Apeldoorn (NL), where Belphegor, Enthroned, Svart Crown, Nervechaos and Antropomorphia would set the night sky ablaze with blasphemous songs and satanic chants.. Review: Der Weg Einer Freiheit and supports

Sunday the 24rd of September brought us Der Weg Einer Freiheit, including supporting acts Regarde les Hommes Tomber and Black Anvil in the Baroeg (NL, Rotterdam). As free will is just an illusion, I of course could not resist also visiting their show in Nijmegen, a bit closer to home. Limiting Meiner Freiheit and only […]
Concert review: Ensiferum, Skyclad, Wolfheart

On a Thursday night, Dutchies from Arnhem and around painted their faces in war colors, took up their arms and marched to the venue Luxor Live, where the ‘Two Paths’-package of Wolfheart, Skyclad and Ensiferum would turn this regular weekday into a night to remember.. Read all of it here!
Report: Heidevolk + Vanaheim

15 years ago, in the small town Arnhem, settled between the rivers, fields and vast forests of Gelderland, a couple of metal and beer loving maniacs decided to join their collective love for the surroundings, aggression and above all passion for music into a folk metal band: Heidevolk. Many cd’s, shows, tours and even a […]
